How two moms created Playdate to make fun activities more accessible for families in Lebanon.
Hi, it's so nice to meet you!
I'm Lama, living the mom life in Lebanon.
Becoming a mom was overwhelming, but as time went on and things settled, I started to find more joy in motherhood. Planning fun outings with my girls became my way to recharge and connect with them. Along the way, I discovered a love for photography and eventually combined these passions into a blog to inspire other parents and share ideas for fun activities with their kids.
What started as a fun page quickly turned into a helpful guide for parents in Lebanon, or those visiting, to discover kid-friendly activities and events. That's when I thought: why not make it even easier to access and navigate?
I'm Amar, a new mom and an expat.
Every time I come back to Lebanon with my son, I struggle to find things to do with him. I ask friends, check Instagram, search online… and somehow still miss events or find out about new places right before we leave. There are always cool new spots opening, but it's hard to keep track.
That's when I thought, why isn't there one platform that has everything happening for kids?
We connected through social media, sharing similar interests in kids' activities, and decided to team up for this exciting project.
And That's how Playdate was born.
We simply wanted to make things easier for parents and honestly, for ourselves too.
So, we took it a step further and developed an app to help parents easily find amazing playgrounds and kids' events across Lebanon. With the app, you can filter and search by your child's age, interests, preferred location, and more, making it simpler to discover the perfect activities. You can also book events with just a few taps and enjoy exclusive offers to make playtime even more rewarding.
